The first tests of the performance of Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PC


On November 5, at 16:00 Moscow time, the world release of RDR 2 on the PC took place. Nvidia previously reported that even its flagship graphics cards will not be able to stretch the game at 60 fps and 4K at maximum graphics settings. And now online tests have appeared in real conditions.

In many videos, authors do not indicate all the characteristics of their PCs, but you can already understand that this is one of the most demanding games of our time – especially when it comes to “ultra”. For measurements, the built-in RDR 2 benchmark is used.

First test

  • Nvidia RTX 2080Ti Video Card
  • Intel Core i9-9900K processor
  • 64 GB RAM
  • 4K resolution. Morning settings. No smoothing

Result : fps ranges from 30 to 45.

Second test

  • Nvidia RTX 2080Ti Video Card
  • 4K resolution. Ultra settings. Smoothing MSAA 8X

Result : the number of frames ranges from 18 to 26.

Third test

  • Nvidia RTX 2080 Super Graphics Card
  • Intel Core i7 9700K processor
  • 32 GB RAM
  • 1080p Ultra settings. No smoothing

Result : the number of frames ranges from 57 to 65.

Fourth test

  • Nvidia GTX 1070 Graphics
  • Intel Core i7 4770 processor
  • 24 GB RAM
  • 1920 by 1080. High settings. No smoothing

Result: the number of frames ranges from 47 to 60.
