Previously, Atlus has already confirmed that an expanded version of Persona 5 with the subtitle Royal will be released in the West in the spring of 2020. Now, Game Informer in the November issue of its magazine has announced that the release will take place in March – one month with the first episode of Final Fantasy VII.
Royal’s release month is indicated in an interview with Persona character designer Sigeroni Soezdimoy, so it is likely that the release window in conversation with the publication was confirmed by Atlus representatives themselves.
Royal includes the third semester, the eighth castle, two dozen new musical compositions and several new story characters, including Kasumi, who will be part of the team of phantom kidnappers.
In addition, the expanded version of Persona 5 will have new activities in the city and a plot rebuilt to take into account new characters.
Royal’s Japanese release will take place on October 31st.
