Hideki Kamiya officially entered the Guinness Book of Records – for 158 thousand points scored in the Arcade Archives Ninja-Kid

Players have already offered to massively congratulate the fiery creator of the Devil May Cry and Bayonetta series on Twitter.

Hideki Kamiya set a world record back in May 2018, but he was awarded a certificate of achievement only at the Tokyo Game Show 2019.

The Japanese developer scored the most points in the world in Arcade Archives Ninja-Kid – the port of the Ninja-Kid arcade game for Nintendo Switch. The original came out in 1984.

Arcade Archives Ninja-Kid is an action platformer in which the protagonist, Ninja-kun, kills enemies with shurikens. In game mode, where save does not work and you need to set the greatest possible result in five minutes, Hideki Kamiya earned a record 158,680 points.

At the same time, users of social networks joked that the co-founder of PlatinumGames, also known for his sharp reaction to questions on Twitter, should have been awarded a record for the number of people on the black list.
