On the evening of September 12, the open beta of Call of Duty Modern Warfare was supposed to start for Russian PS4 users, but at the appointed 20:00 the test client did not appear in the PS Store – instead, all editions of the game disappeared from the store .
The next morning, official PlayStation support began to inform players that the game would not be released in the Russian segment of the online store. The support agent confirmed this information in a telephone conversation with – he said that pre-order players will be refunded.
For representatives of Activision, what happened seemed to be a surprise: in the official community of the game, VKontakte is still the last post about the imminent launch of the beta.
For already a day, the administration has been responding to the players that “understands the situation”.
Initially, the Activision PR service told that it was working to ensure that PS4 owners in Russia get access to beta at least next weekend, but this is not destined to come true.
Unfortunately, we confirm that Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, due to unforeseen circumstances, will not be able to support open beta testing of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare network game in Russia. At the same time, our plans for open beta testing on Xbox One and PC remain unchanged. The beta test will be available to players on these platforms from September 19 to 23, 2019.

As for the release, it is currently known that the game will definitely be released in Battle.net and the Microsoft Store. The shooter will start in Russia on October 25 and will receive full support – including advertising.
