Media: Ewan McGregor will return to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the series for Disney +

The show is likely to be announced at D23, which will be held from August 23 to 25.

               

Update According to the source of The DisInsider, initially Disney planned to release a film about Obi-Wan Kenobi – the script of the picture was eventually used to create six episodes of the series, which will be released on Disney +.
Update # 2 of The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the upcoming series. Macregore is indeed in talks to return to that role.

Euan McGregor’s deal with Disney was reported by two different Cinelinx insiders. The news of the appointment with the McGregor has been received from other publications – however, as stressed Ethan Anderton, editor of the site / Film, Cinelinx does not apply to media that publish rumors for sensationalism.

At the D23 exhibition, which could potentially announce a series about Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Mandalorians will officially be shown, a Star Wars show starring John Favreau, director of The Lion King and two parts of Iron Man.

“Mandalorets”, which was played by Pedro Pascal (“Game of Thrones”), Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”) and director Werner Herzog, is due to be released on November 12, along with the launch of the streaming service Disney +. The series has already been extended for the second season.
