Outer Wilds publisher says bankruptcy rumors will not affect the company’s work

Parent enterprise awaits restructuring.

In early August, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Annapurna Pictures Studios were in danger of bankruptcy. This company owns the gaming publisher Annapurna Interactive, which has released What Remains of Edith Finch, Gorogoa, Donut County, and Outer Wilds.

Soon after the publication of the material in the media, the owner of the company Megan Ellison sent a letter to the employees explaining that the upcoming restructuring does not threaten the company, but is normal for the business.

It is extremely important for me that you all know that we are devoted to this company more than ever and fully support our future. Regardless of what is published in the press, the truth is that we are confidently on our way to success.

There will always be speculation, misinformation and pokes from the press – this is part of the business. But know that it means nothing to me.

founder of Annapurna Pictures

PC Gamer also asked Annapurna Interactive for comment on the nature of the restructuring, but did not receive a timely response. On his Twitter, the publisher said that he was doing fine.
