On the closed Ninja Twitch channel, a recommendation for a porn stream appeared – the site has already apologized for the incident

The broadcast was called Russian "Minecraft is my life!"

On August 11, streamer Tyler Ninja Blevins said that on his Twitch channel, which is no longer active, recommendations from other platform streamers appeared. One of the recommendations contained pornography . The video was called “Minecraft is my life!” In Russian. The message “The streamer you are looking for is in another castle” was also written on the page (The streamer you are looking for is in another castle).

In early August, Ninja announced the move from Twitch to Mixer, the Microsoft streaming platform. As the streamer noted in his address on Twitter, his team tried to organize the transition between platforms as competently as possible from a professional point of view.

Ninja noted that the channels of other streamers that have signed contracts with other platforms have remained untouched. He said that he regrets what happened because the broadcast from porn could be seen by children.

In recent days, there have been some activities [from Twitch] that we have braked – but it was annoying. These were small pokes, but we did not pay attention. We want to remain professionals.

I streamed for eight years to create my brand, to build a channel with an audience of 14.5 million. And Twitch uses this channel to promote other streamers.

Soon, the director of the streaming platform Emmett Shire commented on the situation. He explained that the company is trying to improve its system of recommendations, including by showing other streams on pages that are offline.

However, broadcasting porn in itself is a gross violation of the rules of the site. The site stopped showing recommendations on the Ninja page, and also blocked the channel with adult content until the circumstances were clarified.

In addition, the head of Twitch personally apologized to Ninja for what happened.

Two days after switching to Mixer, the Ninja channel already totaled 500 thousand subscribers, and by August 6, the mark exceeded one million. Almost immediately after the announcement of the site change, Twitch deprived the Blevins channel of verification.
