WSJ: Apple’s Jason Momoa science fiction series budget reaches $ 15 million per episode


This is at the level of the last season of the Game of Thrones.

On the publication of The Wall Street Journal told with reference to its sources in the material on the increase in the budgets of the show in online cinemas.

The publication noted how initially services like Netflix, on average, spent on their flagship shows of 4-5 million dollars per episode (this was, for example, the budget of the Card House series), but now these amounts have increased to 8-15 million dollars.

For example, Apple, with its sci-fi series, See, with Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard playing the main part of the episode for $ 15 million. The show will tell about the future, where most of the population of the Earth has died out because of a virus, and the survivors are blind.

15 million per episode is the level of the last season of “Game of Thrones”, in which there were only six episodes. How much will be in See from Apple is still unknown, as well as when the exit will take place.

See, like other Apple projects, is being created for the Apple TV + online cinema – it will be launched in the fall in more than 100 countries, the exact list of which is still unknown.
