Mojang announced the launch of the closed Minecraft Earth beta and published a gameplay trailer

Some players will have access to the game in the next two weeks.

In the next two weeks, access will be given to the players who sent the application from “some cities”. Testing is still open .

It is reported that a limited number of players in the beta is explained by the desire to avoid premature server overload. Perhaps for the same reason, the progress of players during testing will be periodically reset after updates.

The invitation to the beta will come to the e-mail on which the Microsoft account is registered, including the Xbox account. It is also noted that players will need to enter the game at least once a week, otherwise access to the beta will be closed.

In the trailer are shown as miniature buildings, and “full-size” mode, similar to the gameplay of classic Minecraft.

Minecraft Earth was announced in May – the authors promise to preserve the sensations from the original game, but with the use of AR-technologies. Full launch is expected in 2019.
