Nintendo has announced Switch Lite

The screen is 5.5 inches, no jockey, no docking station and no TV.

Console without detachable parts presented on the company’s official YouTube channel. The device with the updated crosspiece will go on sale on September 20 at a price of 16,499 rubles . Collection of pre-orders in Russia will begin “this week.”

The console will go on sale in three colors – turquoise, gray and yellow. For her, they will also release the original screen protection and case (purchased separately).

Lite does not support Labo, it cannot be docked. She does not have infrared sensors, vibration feedback HD Rumble and a bent leg, and the picture with it can not be displayed on TV. The device has a screen of 5.5 inches versus 6.2 at the original console.

The display resolution of 720p and the touch functions are preserved, but now the device does not have automatic brightness adjustment – it can only be changed manually.

Nintendo expects Lite to run a little longer than the basic version: 3-7 hours versus 2.5-6.5 hours. In the mini console, there are still gyros for motion control in some games.

Switch Lite supports all games running in “manual” mode. If the game can only work with the dock, you need to connect external Joy-Con controllers to Switch Lite. When buying such games in eShop, a warning will be displayed on the screen.

The console still has two slots for memory cards: one for game cartridges, and the other for expansion. In addition, it still supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

On November 8, a custom version of the console in the colors of Pokémon Sword and Shield will be on sale.

In a conversation with the media, Nintendo stressed that the new console does not replace 3DS, but technically it is so – by the end of 2018, the pocket console brought the company only 5% of revenue.
