The leader of Twitch for the first half of 2019 became the League of Legends

MOBA regained the lead previously selected by Fortnite.

The Esports Observer publication has published statistics on the most popular sections of the Twitch service for the first half of 2019, and by the number of watched hours, League of Legends was the leader.

MOBA showed an increase compared with the same period of 2018, while the Fortnite audience decreased by contrast.

In total, League of Legends users watched a total of 512 million hours, and Fortnite – 465 million hours.

For comparison, a year ago, the indicator League of Legends was equal to 435 million hours, while the Fortnite – 531 million hours.

By the end of 2019, League of Legends is likely to be able to reach a billion watched hours – so far only Fortnite has succeeded in 2018.

The TFT mode, which is an analogue of Auto Chess, and since its release has been consistently maintained in the top of Twitch, is not included in the League of Legends indicator, since the site has a separate section for it.

The Esports Observer statistics also reflect the high popularity of the Just Chatting section, in which streamers simply talk to their viewers, hold contests and play nothing.

In general, CS: GO, Dota 2, Hearthstone, Overwatch, World of Warcraft also keep their audience among games, and GTA V over the past year has become more popular on Twitch, adding in total more than 200 million hours to its past result .
