Microsoft services will have official integration into GOG Galaxy 2.0 launcher

Games from the Game Pass subscription can be installed from the client directly.

Partnership GOG and Microsoft said the managing director of the digital magazine CD Projekt Piotr Karwowski in a conversation with a German portal GameStar.

According to him, the company’s employees personally presented their “launcher for launchers” to the head of the Xbox, bringing the game libraries together.

We showed our program to Phil Spencer and he immediately caught fire with enthusiasm, because the fusion of several platforms together is exactly what Microsoft is promoting.

Thanks to the official integration, players will be able to install via Galaxy 2.0 not only games purchased from the Microsoft Store, but also titles available on PCs via Game Pass subscriptions.

Karvovski confirmed that such cooperation may not be the only one. GOG is already negotiating with owners of other platforms, and at the moment “everything is going very well”.

Galaxy 2.0 was presented at the end of May in order to create a single gaming launcher that combines libraries, statistics and lists of friends from different platforms – both on PCs and on consoles. Open beta testing is set to begin in the coming months.
