Tumblr wants to sell, and Pornhub thinks to buy it and return adult content

Life moves in a spiral.

Tumblr traffic crashes after banning NSFW content

On May 2, The Wall Street Journal announced the Verizon Media Group’s desire to sell the Tumblr blog service, since after the ban on adult content, its traffic almost halved.

In a letter to BuzzFeed News, Pornhub representatives confirmed that they were interested in the purchase.

Tumblr was a safe haven for anyone who wanted to explore and express their sexuality, including fans of adult content.

We have long been concerned about the measures that the service owners have taken to eradicate the erotic communities on the platform.

If the deal takes place, Pornhub intends to immediately lift the ban on adult content, which entered into force in December 2018.

Yahoo bought Tumblr for $ 1.1 billion in 2013, and by 2016 it was priced at only $ 230 million. Soon, the future Verizon Media Group bought Yahoo itself, having received along with it and Tumblr.
