IGN published the short film Alien: Containment – the first of six works on the Alien universe, which will be released in honor of the 40th anniversary of the release of the original Ridley Scott film. The pictures won the competition, which was arranged by the studio 20th Century Fox and in which more than 550 films participated.
Alien: Containment, a short film that Chris Reding shot and wrote, tells about the crash of a spacecraft from which four people were evacuated on a rescue shuttle. On the way, they learn that one member of the group may be infected.
At the end of February 2019, IGN also released a web series assembled from the cut-scenes of the game Alien: Isolation. American students in honor of the anniversary of “Alien” put on a play in 1979, which drew attention in social networks – after which the students were praised by actress Sigourney Weaver and director James Cameron and Ridley Scott.
