Microsoft: a public trial version of Project xCloud released 2019 year

The company has demonstrated the work of the cloud system.

As part of the Inside Xbox program, Microsoft showed the work of the Project xCloudstreaming service . At the expense of cloud technologies, it will allow you to run games on “any device”, including PCs, consoles, and mobile devices

Karim Choudhry explained how the Project xCloud system should work. The game will run in the Microsoft data center and broadcast to the device. As an example, he showed how to play Forza Horizon 4 on a smartphone.

Think about music. You do not think about what type of music to listen to at home, and what during a trip in the car. You listen to different music in different situations. And I think the future of gaming is behind this.

Karim Choudhury, Head of Cloud Gaming at Microsoft

Microsoft expects that after a full-fledged launch of the project, more than 2 billion users worldwide will be able to run console-level games via the cloud system.

We are developing Project xCloud not as a replacement for game consoles, but as a way to provide [players] with the same choices and flexibility that music and video lovers have today.

Karim Choudhury, Head of Cloud Gaming at Microsoft

Choudry confirmed that the public trial versions of the Project xCloud technology will become available in 2019.
