The company has already passed a wave of layoffs.
According to Graczpospolita.pl sources , recently Polish Techland has dismissed many employees of the local publishing department, leaving about 13 people.
In a statement to the GamesIndustry.biz edition, company representatives confirmedthat the division would be fully closed before the end of 2019, but this would not affect the global business or the development of Dying Light 2, in which Chris Avellone is participating.
Techland did not specify when it will fire the remaining employees of the unit – they are now busy preparing for the closure.
In addition to Techland employees, some GOG employees have recently lost their jobs in Poland. According to Kotaku, CD Projekt explained this by a “difficult financial situation”.
