Microsoft has promised to fully launch the Game Pass subscription service on a PC


To date, it provides access to more than 100 games.

As part of the financial report, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that the company plans to provide PC players with access to its subscription service. He did not share the details of the project, but the press suggests that the launch will take place in 2019.

Like Xbox owners, AAA titles and indie projects will become available to PC players for a subscription fee. At the moment, the Game Pass service is partially running on a PC due to the initiative of Play Anywhere. The games participating in this program are available on both Microsoft platforms.

In the first quarter of the 2019 fiscal year, the revenue of the Microsoft gaming division grew by 44%. Revenues from Xbox games and services increased by 36%, and the cumulative number of monthly active Xbox Live subscribers was 57 million.

The company did not share data on the revenues of the gaming unit, but Microsoft’s total revenue was $ 29.1 billion. The PC segment accounted for 10.7 billion.

Subscription Xbox Game Pass costs 599 rubles per month. Among the latest titles, which got gamers, Quantum Break, Metro 2033 Redux, Wolfenstein: The New Order and Forza Horizon 4. Total subscribers have more than 100 games available.
