Apple in the next generations of its mobile devices can switch to self-developed batteries. Such a scenario assumes the publication of Bloomberg: the resource has learned that Cupertins hired Sunyo Ana.
Earlier, the specialist worked for eighteen years at LG Chem, and since 2014 he worked at Samsung SDI as a senior vice president. Both of these companies are engaged in the development and supply of batteries for both the needs of the parent corporations and third-party customers. For example, Apple has previously bought batteries from Samsung SDI.
Now Sunyo will lead the battery development division of Apple. Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the Cupertina company is negotiating with companies for the extraction of cobalt – the material that is needed in the production of batteries.
