In the source code of the Samsung Pay application, we have found lines indicating the appearance of at least one model of the Samsung Pay smartphone, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display. The cheapest in the line, which appears under the name Galaxy S10E, will not receive such a sensor, since the images caught in the network have a scanner on the end.
The found code is responsible for the command of the payment application to access the scanner in the screen and authenticate the user to make the payment. The command, in particular, refers to the “Beyond in-display FP scanner” component. It is noted that Beyond is the internal designation of the Galaxy S10.
It is expected that the smartphone will receive an advanced ultrasound scanner from Qualcomm, which, according to the company, is faster and more efficiently optical.
The traditional Unpacked event, where Samsung smartphones will be presented, will be held on February 20 in San Francisco.
