THQ Nordic announced the purchase of Koch Media, which owns Deep Silver.

The amount of the transaction amounted to 121 million euros.

On February 14, THQ Nordic made a deal to purchase German media corporation Koch Media, which owns Deep Silver. Thus, THQ obtained the rights to such titles as Saints Row, Dead Island and Metro.

Koch Media control three gaming studios – Volition (Saints Row), Dambuster (Homefront) and Fishlabs (Galaxy on Fire). The media holding will continue to operate separately as a separate unit of THQ Nordic.

The management of the publishing house stated that it does not plan restructuring and reductions. Current CEO Clemens Kundratitz (Klemens Kundratitz) will remain at the post of executive director of Koch Media.

Koch Media launched the video game division in 2002. During this time, Deep Silver has released more than 200 games. The company also owned the rights to publish upcoming Metro games: Exodus and Shenmue 3.
