Console versions of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire postponed until 2019 the year

Initially, their release was planned for the 2018th.

About this studio Obsidian told at its official forum. The developers also announced that on the PS4, Xbox One and Switch role-playing game will be released immediately with all the paid and free add-ons.

The console port is being built by two other third-party companies, Grip Digital and Red Cerberus. Obsidian itself December 13 released for Deadfire last story DLC called Forgotten Sanctum.

The studio did not specify what caused the delay in the port. It is possible that sales in the amount of 110 thousand copies somehow influenced this, in order to pay back the creators had to sell at least 580 thousand.

Obsidian is also not yet ready to say in which half of 2019 the console versions of Pillars of Eternity II will be released.
