Shopify Launches Its Own Designed Credit Card Reader

Shopify designed  its own card reader, a new hardware for the first, the most basic tool in the real world merchant’s arsenal. They officially announced it at Shopify’s United developer conference held in San Francisco on 20th day of the running month.

We all know that Shopify has sold swipe card reader of others before, but this new one has been fully design by Shopify own, with an astonishing and elegant look. The new card reader has some new amazing features, that it has been design a for swipe and chip base dips, in addition its work like a cashier at a retailer or also operate with your smartphone, and is quite handy that you can use it with only one had with ease.

“We’ve learned a ton over that period of time, in bringing people hardware and scaling point of sale to many tens of thousands of merchants,” explained Shopify VP of Product Satish Kanwar in an interview. “What we’ve seen is the evolution of the retail store as a place that was primarily a first channel for someone, to being a great experiential marketing strategy for people, and just a necessary part of the growth and evolution of any retail brand, whether you started online first or not.”   via TechCrunch reports.

You can connect the card reader with you smartphone via Bluetooth, can charge it with the help of micro USB. According to The Verge, the company claims that you can do “400 chips or & 700 transactions” with the help of Shopify’s new card reader.
